Wenatchee Valley Super Oval Kicks Off Historic 56th Season with Tommy Wentz Classic on April 18

WENATCHEE, WA (March 2026) — The engines are about to roar once again as Wenatchee Valley Super Oval (WVSO) launches its highly anticipated 56th season on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with the annual Tommy Wentz Classic Presented by Bob's Classic.

After a record-setting 2025 season and a full offseason of preparation, WVSO is ready to welcome fans back to the stands for another exciting year of grassroots racing action in North Central Washington.

Opening Night will feature a full lineup of fan-favorite divisions, including:

Plumb Perfect Roadrunners

Fans can expect a high-energy night filled with side-by-side racing, family-friendly entertainment, and the electric atmosphere that has made WVSO a staple in the Wenatchee Valley for over five decades.

“There’s nothing like Opening Night,” said Jeremy Anders, General Manager of Wenatchee Valley Super Oval. “After months of preparation, seeing the grandstands fill up and the cars hit the track again is something special. We’re excited to kick off what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest seasons in our history.”

The 2026 season will feature a packed schedule of marquee events, highlighted by the $25,000-to-win Plumb Perfect Wenatchee 200 presented by GESA Credit Union, along with special appearances, national touring series, and unique fan experiences throughout the summer.

WVSO continues to focus on delivering an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages, with upgraded concessions, enhanced entertainment, and a strong commitment to community involvement.

Gates open at 4:30 PM on April 18, with racing action beginning at 6:00 PM.
