OLD vs. YOUNG: GENERATIONAL SHOWDOWN SET FOR TREE TOP 150 AT WVSO
WENATCHEE, WA — A thrilling generational battle is set to headline one of the most anticipated events of the 2026 season at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval as youth takes on experience in a can’t-miss showdown.
On Saturday, April 25, 13-year-old rising star Keelan Harvick, son of NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick, will go head-to-head with 70-year-old racing icon Garrett Evans in the Tree Top 150 – Leonard Evans Memorial, part of the CARS Tour NW Pro Late Model division.
The matchup brings together two vastly different generations of racing talent at the track famously known as “the house that Evans built,” creating a compelling storyline for fans across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Harvick, one of the top young prospects in the country, continues to make waves in the racing world with his skill and composure well beyond his years—and carries the legacy of one of NASCAR’s greatest drivers. Standing opposite him is Evans, a cornerstone of Northwest short track racing whose legacy at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval spans decades.
“This is what short track racing is all about,” said WVSO General Manager Jeremy Anders. “You’ve got one of the brightest young stars in the country going up against a legend of our sport at the very track he helped build. It’s a true old-school versus new-school battle, and our fans are going to witness something special.”
The competition won’t stop there. The CARS Tour NW PLM debut at WVSO will also feature a stacked field of top regional talent, including standout drivers Haeden Plybon, Thomas Stanford, and Wyatt Gardner, along with many more of the West Coast’s best competitors.
Fans will also be treated to a full night of racing action with additional divisions including CARS Tour Legends, Bandoleros, and NW Focus Midgets, adding even more excitement and showcasing the next generation of racing talent alongside established stars.
With national attention, a deep field of talent, and a headline matchup that spans generations, the Tree Top 150 is shaping up to be one of the marquee events of the 2026 racing season.
